has been co-director of the renowned Toronto International Film Festival since January 2004, where he had already worked from 1994 until 1999. Before, he was involved in the Global Film Initiative, an organisation which supported films produced in 3rd world countries.
Cowan was also co-manager of Cowboy Pictures, a rental company for art house and documentary films, as well as head of Code Red Films. Furthermore, Noah Cowan was engaged in numerous international activities as producer, jury member, curator and program director. (Jury president 2006)
Noah Cowan ist seit Januar 2004 der Co-Leiter des renommierten Toronto International Film Festivals, für das er schon von 1994 bis 1999 arbeitete. Davor war er für die Global Film Initiative tätig, die Filme aus der Dritten Welt fördert. Er war Co-Chef von Cowboy Pictures, ein Verleih für Programmkino- und Dokumentarfilme und danach der Chef von Code Red Films. Zahlreiche internationale Tätigkeiten als Produzent, in Jurys, als Kurator und Programmgestalter. (Jurypräsident 2006)
