Das Festival wird daraufhin abgesagt. COVERED versucht nicht nur den Mut der vier Frauen, die das Festival organisierten, zu thematisieren, sondern auch die komplexen politischen Zusammenhänge in der heutigen bosnischen Gesellschaft, die immer noch unter den Dämonen des Krieges leidet. John Greyson ist zweifacher TEDDY-Preisträger (1989 und 2009).
2008, the opening of the first QUEER SARAJEVO FESTIVAL was closed down by a violent mob, that accused the organizers of blasphemy. Eight people were hospitalized, and the festival was cancelled. COVERED profiles the courage of the four women who organized the festival, and explores the complex politics that inform contemporary Bosnian society, still struggling with the demons of the war. John Greyson is a two time TE DDY AWARD winner (1989 and 2009).
