Enzo kommt nach 14 Jahren Knast zurück nach Genua. Er durchquert die Stadt, doch die hat sich im Laufe der vielen Jahre verändert. In einem kleinen Haus im Altstadt-Ghetto wartet Mary auf ihn, seine Lebensgefährtin, mit der er Tag für Tag Briefe und gesprochene Nachrichten ausgetauscht hat. Dieses poetische Porträt eines Kriminellen und seiner transsexuellen Partnerin ist gleichzeitig ein Porträt der Stadt Genua, insbesondere ihrer stark von Migranten geprägten Orte. Pietro Marcellos dokumentarisches Poem erhielt auf dem TURINER FILMFESTIVAL 2009 den Kritikerpreis und wurde als Bester Film ausgezeichnet.Enzo returns to Genoa after 14 years of imprisonment. He goes about the city, which has changed after many years. In a little house in the old town ghetto, his companion Mary waits for him. They exchanged letters and messages while he was away. This poetic portrait of a criminal and his transsexual partner is at the same time a portrait of Genoa, especially the areas shaped by immigrants. Pietro Marcello’s documentary poem won the International Film Critic’s Prize for Best Film at the 27th TORINO FILM FESTIVAL 2009.
